When Lisa Marie Presley breached the musical surface of her long awaited career in rock-n-roll, (some of us had the faith!!) she was unsure of what would happen. Would people embrace her blossoming artistry for what it was, it's own stamp on the world, her own brand of communication.. her spectrum of influences as wide as to encompass Aretha to the Ramones,or would they be unable to register a brilliant soul away from the other brilliant soul that the public eye would always connect her with. Never a bad connection, only when a sensationalized eye would turn towards such a beautiful bond as Lisa and Elvis Presley had and will always have would there ever be issue taken with the ever present talent the young lady inherited. When she took to the uncertain road small venue or large, what would she find? She dared Charybdis and found fan-dom gold! Would she over come the slight offense the jealous media crowd had to offer?Hell, yeah!! Not only had Lisa inherited the musical craft, but also the warm heart and simple life force that drove her father's fans mad with loyalty. Lisa took the stage and found herself on the deck of a large ship, thronged with those inspired by Lisa's rebel-tastic ways, and intruguing lyrics... her giving ways. When these people needed a hero, they got one. The crew of fans that followed Lisa from tour date to tour date became known as the "road pirates", and as a whole, her fans soon became known as Presley's Pirates, born to plunder the unfair media eye, critic for critic, cheer louder than hell, wave their swords in time to the music and hold up the torch higher than high in support of the charitable efforts Lisa fronts , to help the unfortunate with dignity and a swift response when a call for help is issued. She lends her inspiration, and the Pirates don their scarves and raise their Jolly Rogers. A new breed of Pirate has arisen. Hearty in the blood ,sweat sweeter than rum, and rebellious in the DNA..watch out matey, they'll run ya up the mizzen mast or carve your name in a plank swifter than you can warble a few bars of the anthem "Idiot" in your own defense!! HAR!!

Lisa's always been a real and true warrior that I and most people could look to for clairty and honesty. LMP was a breath of fresh sea air with her non-conforming, no bs, no holds bar attitude! She's the most generous, kind and pure hearted person I've ever met. She's a good stiff drink and soft pillow all in one. She's one of a kind and willing to walk the plank for the swarming followers of lost souls. She's our leader and she's very well loved and respected by me as well as all these fellow pirateers out there.
