Researchers are trying to find out exactly when and where the Presley Pirates started. One rumor has it that an LMP fan, after meeting Lisa backstage, had a past life memory in which she (the fan) was a Pirate navigating the waters around Indonesia in the early 1600's. In this Fan's mind's eye, she vividly recalled having successfully attacked and ransacked the British schooner H.M.S. Dougherty, which was captained by none other than Lisa in her previous incarnation as Captain Robin Powers of the British Royal Navy. For the fan, this flashback was all consuming, and thereafter, referred to herself as a Presley Pirate. Naturally, though the fan's forum friends worried about her mental health, they began using the 'Pirate' term amongst themselves, and presto, the name was born.
